Can I change my handle or username?

We wish we could be helpful here but unfortunately, not yet. Your handle (the yourhandle part of yourhandle.zo.computer) is set when you create your account, and there's no way to rename today.

It helps to know why: your handle isn't just a username. It's the address everything you build on Zo lives at:

• yourhandle.zo.computer, where your computer and the app live

• yourhandle.zo.computer, your Zo's email address

• yourhandle.zo.space, your personal site on the web

• zo.pub/yourhandle, and any public links you've shared

A rename would break every link, bookmark, and email pointing at those, so it isn't a simple switch to flip. If you really need a different handle, the only workaround right now is to download all your files, delete your account, and sign up again with the handle you want.

A proper rename is something people ask for, and it's on our list!
